We are located in a unique location in Kittilä,

in the lovely village of Kaukonen, which was chosen in 2014

into a Lapland village.

The peaceful country milieu, the wonderful setting for various year-round activities and experiences charmed us the first time we arrived at the farm.

We immediately stated that this is old time

the atmospheric space with its buildings is the perfect place to stay and engage in various activities.

It is easy to get to from our farm located along the Ounasjoki river

to vast state lands for camping, fishing or even hunting. Driving to Levi and Ylläs by car n. in 30 minutes, so you can easily see what the skiing centers have to offer.

The nearest airport is located in Kittilä, 20 km away.

  The warm and cozy Takkatupa offers cozy accommodation for one person, a couple or a small family all year round. 

One of the special things we are proud of is our unique sauna, which charms with its heavy logs and pleasant soaks. Relax after the day's activities in warm baths or spend a nice sauna evening with friends. This sauna can accommodate even a larger group!
